About Me
Heidi-ho, people I don’t know, it’s your resident Blonde Asian and at 40, I’ve learned that life is never just one thing. I’m a choreographer who can’t stop breaking down songs into movement, a wannabe crafter who loves making things shine, a casual YouTuber sharing as much as I learn, and a devoted girlfriend standing at the edge of a new chapter.
Raised by Filipino immigrant parents, I’ve always lived in-between worlds, pulling inspiration from 80s and 90s nostalgia, medium maintenance beauty obsessions (hair is my favorite), and new curiosities like sumo. This blog is my real-time chronicle of it all: the creative, the personal, and everything in between.

The Creative
As I step into my 40s, I wanted a place to gather all the pieces of my life: the big, the small, and the glittery. After years of choreographing, teaching, and creating, I’ve realized creativity doesn’t have to live in one lane.
I firmly believe that if you can follow directions, you can dance. And that choreography doesn’t have to be intimidating. It’s just storytelling in motion. I’ve danced in venues the size of an IKEA coffee table and created movement for massive stages. My goal is to make choreography more approachable and to help anyone feel confident creating movement that feels authentic.

The Maker
DIY and crafting have always been my happy place. During the pandemic, I taught myself how to sew — thank you, YouTube tutorials and trial-and-error patience. Ever since, I’ve wanted to pay that learning energy forward. I share what’s worked (and what hasn’t), from rhinestoning everything in sight to decoden projects that sparkle in all the right ways. I like working with small, cute, detailed things. It’s tedious — but that’s part of the magic.

The Beauty Lover
Hair has always been my favorite beauty topic. I don’t wear daily makeup, so I channel that energy (and budget) into finding the right hair products, tools, and routines. As a blonde Asian woman, I love exploring beauty through that lens and sharing my honest experiences on YouTube. The 80s and 90s live rent-free in my head — think bold colors, big hair, and pre-internet vibes.
Recently, I even fell into a new passion: sumo wrestling. One random YouTube recommendation later, and I was hooked. Proof that it’s never too late to find something new that lights you up.

The Heart
Being the daughter of Filipino immigrants taught me resilience, creativity, and the value of hard work. Those lessons shape everything I do — from how I choreograph to how I craft to how I live.
This blog is a place to share all of it: the lessons, the projects, the trial-and-errors, and the unexpected wins. Whether you’re here for dance tips, DIY inspiration, or just a peek into the creative chaos of a 40-something figuring things out — I hope you find something that resonates.

Welcome to Blonde Asian: where I’m making things, learning things, and strapping in for the ride. 💛
