Looking for the Right Web Designer / Developer
I’m at a point where I want to bring someone in to work with me on my sites.
I’m not in a rush. I’m starting to look now because I’d rather take my time and find the right fit than hire quickly and redo things later.
I’d prefer someone earlier in their career. I don’t think being new means you don’t know what you’re doing. Sometimes it just means you haven’t had the right opportunity yet.
What I’m building
Blonde Asian is my lifestyle blog. It leans heavily on content. A lot of writing, product posts, and things that are meant to build over time.
The Cute Effect is different. It’s where I put my love of cute things and crafting. It’s more playful, more project-based.
There’s also a third site I’m working on that acts more like an index or catalog that ties everything together.
So it’s not just one site. It’s a few things that need to make sense both on their own and together.
Why I’m looking
I understand what good design does.
I can’t build sites from scratch, and I’ve been working within templates. That’s gotten me this far, but I’m at the point where I’d rather work with someone who actually knows how to build and shape a site properly.
I’m not interested in learning how to do everything myself just to get around that.
What matters to me
I care about structure, usability, and how things hold up over time.
These are content-heavy sites, so they need to work beyond just a homepage. I’m thinking about how everything connects and grows, not just how it looks at the start.
I’m also not looking for a one-time project. I’d rather find someone I can continue working with.
Who this might be for
If you’re earlier in your career, building your portfolio, and looking for real projects to work on, this could be a good fit.
WordPress is what I’m currently using, so experience there is helpful.
